@Terrax Just tried "options video acpi_backlight=vendor" in /etc/modprobe.d/options for kernel 2.6.27-11.23smb2 and I have the same behavior I just reported for 2.6.27-11.22 above. The brightness controls work but its not bright enough even at the max.
