@Reuben Firmin (and other fellow KDE users). I found a work-around for us, but it's a pain and only works if you have both Gnome and KDE available on the system.
1: Switch to a text console (Control-Alt-F1) and login as your user. 2: Run "killall kwin" to kill the KDE Window manager. 3: Run "DISPLAY=:0.0 metacity" to run the Gnome window manager. 4: Switch back to the XWindows screen (Alt-F7), and follow the steps Kevin Browne posted to this thread on 2008-12-09. 5: Switch to the text console again, and press Ctrl-C to kill metacity. 6: Run "DISPLAY=:0.0 kwin" to run the KDE window manager again. 7: Switch back to the XWindows screen and you should be working again. Now, can someone show me how to map Alt-Spacebar to the window pop-up screen like Gnome has? Thanks, Dan -- X.org will stop responding to mouse clicks on Ibex with Xinerama.
