I'd rather not include this in Ubuntu's dpkg before it's accepted in Debian, as we run the risk of interface skew, so I'm going to unsubscribe ubuntu-main-sponsors. However, I don't see a problem with the patch itself (though I haven't tried it out) and have forwarded it to the corresponding Debian bug. Thanks!
