In an interactive terminal, it returns 0, even if subsequent suspend attempts fail.
I played around with the 01PulseAudio script, and interestingly I could not determine which element returns the non-zero return value. I also notices that after several (5-10) attempts to suspend, It actually suspends. I also tried it with Rhythmbox running.
