I very much agree with Mikel. This bug is the single reason I dropped Ubuntu 8.10 and went back to 8.04 LTS. I am very surprised that this bug persists in the 8.10 Live (and Install) CD distributed from Ubuntu. Does Canonical lack resources to fix it? or, Is this bug not considered priority? When should I plan to upgrade to 8.10? In a month? Or, should I just wait for 9.04?
