Hi Guys,

I'd like to get a clear overview of the current status of this bug for
the kernel team to review. First, if you can please attach a photo
capturing the kernel panic you experience or a log file which has
captured the output of the kernel panic that will be the most helpful.

Additionally, I'd like to organize the bug description to be much more
descriptive. I'm going to add a table to the bug description. I'll try
to fill it in as best I can from the comments I've read from here. But
please feel free to update it. Also, if you haven't already, please
make sure you've tested with linux-backports-modules-intrepid and update
the table in the description once you have -
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/277391/+edit . I'd
appreciate hearing more feedback from those who have tested linux-
backports-modules. Thanks.

@8200 and @lew - I notice that you are the only ones using the iwl3945
driver whereas everyone else appears to be using the iwlagn driver. It
might be best if you open a separate bug report for the issue you are
seeing as it is best if kernel bug reports target a specific set of
hardware and drivers.

** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu)
       Status: New => Incomplete

** Description changed:

I am getting random system crashes (blinking caps & num lock lights) on
my Intrepid AMD64 laptop. I have kept up to date with packages,
including all kernel package updates. I can provide any information that
will flesh out this report, so please let me know what additional info
is needed. The latest crash happened while downloading the latest
Intrepid beta x64 desktop CD and watching a video in Miro. Previous
crash happened while I was at work, not using the laptop.
