/usr/lib/libopenal.so.0 coexists perfectly well with /usr/lib/libopenal.so.1
There is no reason to remove this package completely. Simply putting the files there from an earlier Ubuntu version makes applications (that may be impossible to fix, as you well know) happy. While we are at it, lets remove awesfx like Fedora did.
