Niklas's instructions in post #36 at https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-input- evdev/+bug/282387/comments/36 worked for me after going into standby and resuming.
I am using a Lenovo Thinkpad X61 Tablet.
