Public bug reported: Ubuntu 8.10 x64 (though problem was also present in i386)
Some hours/days/etc my mouse will reset it's position to the center, resetting every few seconds, so click anywhere is like using a rubber band. It also does not reset to the same exact position, since I can see it twitching in the center right now. I have tried liveCDs and they had the same problem, reinstalling, I even tried starting the computer with no mouse plugged in and it happen. The only time it didn't happen is a liveCD of openSUSE, so right now I'm blaming the switch from Xorg to HAL. I've never submitted a bug, but I looked at my syslog in /var/log and found this code constantly repeating: Jan 3 15:11:54 the-tron kernel: [17450.550265] atkbd.c: Unknown key released (translated set 2, code 0x81 on isa0060/serio0). Jan 3 15:11:54 the-tron kernel: [17450.550277] atkbd.c: Use 'setkeycodes e001 <keycode>' to make it known.
