Hi all, This thing was documented in an apple forum soon after the timezone change (almost exactly one year ago) http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=6399776
the nspr guys were into it also: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=411726 They seem to make a patch, but i don't know in which version they packed it. Actual NSPR version is 4.7.3, ubuntu hardy is 4.7.1~beta2-0ubuntu1, and has not been touched since april, way back the patch. Can you check with nspr people in which version is packed the patch and bring it to Hardy?, the impact that this haves in gmail is killing me.
