Just an added comment to this report... in an out of the box install if you try and add a bithday using calender it will state that it is a read only calender as the original reporter stated. This does not affect the default calender at all, just the Birthdays portion which is actually listed under "contacts". It appears that if you want to add a birthday to that calender you need to list it in the contacts personal information. I'm wondering if the option to add to that calender needs to be disabled if that is not the desired function or if the calender should be marked for write access and allow people to schedule times and such. I still haven't searched for a duplicate report on this issue. ** This bug has been marked a duplicate of bug 260812 evolution birthdays and events write protected -- Can't add appointment in calendar as messages says calendar is read only. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/313426 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
