Hello,  I am having the same issue as the one above.  Here is the output
of the of the dpkg.

The IDLE worked the first time it was installed from the terminal but I didn't 
see it in the Applications list until I quit the program.  At first I thought 
it was a glitch and restarted and then I saw two IDLE on the list and now it 
doesn't work at all unless I am in the root mode.
