hiya Charlie. thanks for getting in touch. as stated in the bug report, under my own ubuntu (intrepid) install, the acmera only mounts after ive clicked on it in the 'places' menu, but then works fine.
nothing i have been able to do will get xubuntu to recognise the kodak easyshare c330 though, no error messages, nothing up. i know that there are ways to get (x)ubuntu to log activity while its doing things though. is there a terminal command i can run before attempting to connect the camera, which will output what xubuntu is / isnt / should be doing? some sort of dsmeg? if there is, let me know and i'll run it and post back the information for you. cheers! Can the camera be manually mounted the same way as any drive? Xubuntu should see the EasyShare as an external drive, allowing manual mounting. Under Xubuntu, are there any error messages? ** Changed in: gnome-mount (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- Camera conected, but not mount automaticaly - 2 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/207887 You received this bug notification because you are a direct subscriber of the bug.
