I have a similar problem with a wireless USB mouse and my USB Epson Photo RX420 printer. have tried a bluetooth mouse via USB dongle. Neither mouse will work with the Printer plugged in. The printer is recognised and installed immediately. Print queue works. When the computer is restarted, the print job will start, but logging in stops it mid stream.
