IMO, this bug is not (only) an openoffice bug. I have tried, and it
seems for me to be the most "common" approach, to install the Spanish
dictionary with the "add/remove application" menu item. Unfortunately,
it's just impossible to be successful doing it that way. I had to make
an "apt-cache search openoffice dictionary" to get "myspell-es" listed
and install it.
