Hi, I'm suffering from the same symptoms as described above on an asus m50vn that's no more than 2 months old. To confirm:
. The machine hangs periodically; sometimes it's fine for a week or 2, sometimes it hangs twice in the same day. . mostly the problem occurs when the machine has been idle, less frequently it occurs when it's actively in use (twice it's occurred whilst using Eclipse for Java development). . The machine needs to be powered off and restarted. The mouse is frozen, keyboard unresponsive, ctrl-alt-backspace and ctrl-alt-f1 do nothing, and the caps-lock light blinks. . I've read bug #276990. The problem has occured at home where I'm connected to a 802.11n network and at work where I use a wired connection. . I don't believe the problem is related to any of the software I run, because it has sometimes occurred before I've launched any of my regular apps. . My machine is a vanilla dual boot with Vista (which I rarely use); I accepted all the installer defaults wrt partitioning. I will attach /var/log/messages and /var/log/syslog next time the problem occurs. -- intrepid hangs https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/307352 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
