*** This bug is a security vulnerability *** You have been subscribed to a public security bug by Jamie Strandboge (jdstrand):
Binary package hint: policykit-gnome On Ubuntu Hardy, the policy that allows or disallows users to shut down the system, or to shut down the system wile other users are logged in, is completely ignored. Any user can shut down the system, no matter if there are other users logged in, nor if you have disallowed it via the "Authorizations" dialog. There is a similar bug reported for the Beta version (Bug #148534), but it is marked as "wishlist" and looks like wil never be fixed. I think this is a serious enough problem on an enterprise-quality Linux distro. ** Affects: policykit-gnome (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Users can shut down the system even if disallowed via "Authorizations" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/310563 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
