Public bug reported: Hi, running a Toshiba Satellite A135 with Intrepid.
I downloaded the linux-rt kernel in order to get support for Rosegarden, which requires a higher system timer resolution than the vanilla kernel gives. However, when I restarted and booted up with the rt kernel, it didn't detect my network at all. For wireless networking, lspci gives: 02:00.0 Ethernet controller: Atheros Communications Inc. AR242x 802.11abg Wireless PCI Express Adapter (rev 01) 09:06.0 Ethernet controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL-8139/8139C/8139C+ (rev 10) It's pretty essential that I have use of the Internet (especially because Rosegarden _still_ won't play sound), so does anyone know why this might not work? I don't _think_ it has anything to do with the restricted modules, because the Hardware Manager lists my wireless driver ("Support for Atheros 802.11 wireless LAN cards") as free. ** Affects: linux-rt (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- linux-rt does not support Atheros wireless https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/310512 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
