Problem persists in newest updates; in fact, it seems to be even worse. Further, we still don't GEM support in our DRM drivers. I'd also like to report that earlier I had tested the drivers and X server from Xorg- edgers, which did have this problem at all (though it did have another big issue with pipe underruns, but that had an easy fix...)
