Last time I checked, dietlibc FTBFSed due to bug #254790, so it's better wait to have a fixed binutils first. Playing with -Wl,-z,norelro solves this, but it's not the correct behaviour because we drop a security feature which should stay in place instead.
I'm also working to drop -fno-stack-protector for sparc and powerpc, this was a hack and it deserves to be handled properly. If I had access to some hardware I'd test it properly, but I'm having difficulties right now. ** Changed in: dietlibc (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Wishlist -- please mere dietlibc 0.31-1.1 from debian unstable https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/309503 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
