As a matter of fact, I have the same trouble as you, so i figure it out I have the same nvidia chipset... well, there seems we need to compile kernel with amd74xxx but that is a thing I don't know how to do. Could you feedback wheter you found any solution about this anoying issue ? I am really mad with kernel guys so this bring us a lot of troubles.
