Not a bug, but maybe an area with room for imporvement.

I did not consider to check that there was enough space in /boot before
running an upgrade, nor would I have known how much would be needed.

It would be nice if the installer could at least check this before
running the upgrade. I expect a failed update of /boot files could lead
to an inability to boot, which would be a pain to fix.

Many of the files in /boot are made redundant after the upgrade. So it
would be better still if the installer could move these to a backup
location as part of the install, removing the need to clean /boot
manually before/after an upgrade.

Apologies if suggestions are not meant for this forum.
