Public bug reported:
I have an IBM x3550 server with IBM ServeRAID 8k/8k-I8 raid card
(Adaptec Rocket or something like that).
Ubuntu server 8/10 amd64 installs nicely on the machine, but the boot
after install fails silently. Only the text cursor blinks in the top
left corner on an otherwise blank screen.
Newest CentOS installs and works without any problems on the same
machine.
