Binary package hint: heartbeat
The heartbeat-2.1.3 package in 8.04 (Hardy Heron) has
quite some bugs that make it nearly unusable.
I tried the 2.1.4 package from jaunty and it compiles
cleanly on hardy and works so far without problems.
Problems in 2.1.3: bashisms all over the place, bugs in
dopd, sometimes it hangs in "transition" status...
Since bugs in heartbeat-2.1.3 apparently do not get fixed
in 8.04LTS, I propose to make the 2.1.4 from jaunty available
in hardy-backports.
I consider the heartbeat package import enough for a
LTS server release as to put in into a usable state.
