Hi! i post here as i have the same symptoms on my Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo A 1640. I' m sorry as i already post here : https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-sis/+bug/161029. It' s the first time for me and i did a mistake (please don' t blame me!). Well, as I said, this bug also affects me.I give you required attachments and the xorg.conf generated when i use the ubuntu 7.10 where the bug is not. I also must tell you that the battery of my motherboard is down, I'm not sure that this is useful but i prefer tell you than doubt. I hope this will be useful.
