I also have this problem. It is very strange and I cannot track it down to something as specific as a style.
On a fresh install of kubuntu edgy I installed firefox to try and get Google Calendar working. It worked for a while and sometimes it still does work. It seems to depend completely randomly on the reboot. The only consistancy is that firefox always complains that the previous session crashed and offers to restore it. Sometimes "killall -9 gconfd-2" will allow firefox to be started. Sometimes firefox will run from the konsole but not from the start menu. Sometimes. Edgy seems less predictable than Sid. I think it must be some sort of Gnome issue. I don't use Gnome at all, perhaps firefox2.0 expects me to. For the moment Mozilla works fine. It seems to be like Firefox but without all the Gnome cruftiness. How about that? The wheel comes full circle. -- *** stack smashing detected ***: /usr/lib/firefox/firefox-bin terminated https://launchpad.net/bugs/65740 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
