I would add that the criteria for whether Ubuntu is better is NOT the opinions ofUbuntu developers or even Ubuntu fanatics, but the number and opinions of the "computer dummies"like me who try Ubuntu Right now, for me, it's pretty much a tie. I use both Vista and Intrepid on my machine, switching back and forth as needed. Some stuff like Firefox actually works better on Vista, while I prefer Intrepid when writing articles. It would be nice to be able to stay in one OS at least most if not all the time.
