My "apt-get upgrade" from hardy to intrepid triggered the scrollkeeper errors. "apt-get dist-upgrade" did not touch scrollkeeper. However, ubuntu-desktop was kept back and "apt-get install ubuntu-desktop" removed scrollkeeper and installed rarian-compat. I also ran "apt-get install --reinstall ubuntu-docs" for good measure.
