Ditto. >From the screen-saver lock screen dialog, click switch user, display resets itself, blank screen appears, move mouse and lock screen dialog reappears. Most of the time it only takes 2 tries to have success. Rarely, it simply won't go and I have to log in and switch user from the gnome menu. After the problem shows itself and I log back into the account (which is an admin account) I get an error dialog saying roughly: "The X server failed to start properly. Perhaps the server is not setup correctly." The error message dialog is small and is properly themed. It does not match the one in the screen-shot above.
