Public bug reported: Binary package hint: php5
There was recently an update pushed to the php5 package. I installed this update and it downgraded my installed version of PEAR. Upgrading PHP for security/feature fixes in the PHP binary should not affect the installed version of PEAR packages, especially if I have newer versions installed. At the very least, I should be prompted to overwrite the old versions. Before updating the php5 package, I had PEAR 1.7.2 installed. After updating, I had PEAR 1.6.1 installed. ** Affects: php5 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- upgrading php5 package overwrites installed PEAR packages https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/306398 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
