Do you see any activity in the acpid log ?
tail -f /var/log/acpid

Also, what are the contents of /proc/acpi/ibm/hotkey ?
cat  /proc/acpi/ibm/hotkey

Could you be more specific as to what doesn't work ? In the topic you
mention three buttons, in the body you say that they don't suspend the
computer. Please provide more information.

Fn+F2 = Lock Button , status ?
Fn+F3 = Battery Button, status ?
Fn+F4 = Sleep Button, status ?
