I am using Hardy on my laptop because I still use KDE 3.5, and the
current Intrepid kernel doesn't even boot on this laptop (the latest
update to the kernel causes it to hang while loading a USB
driver...sigh).

Regardless of whether it works on Intrepid, the issue still exists on
Hardy, and has existed for years. It would be great if it could be
fixed. Not having scrollbars in our word processor just doesn't seem
like a problem we should have in 2008. :)
