Two more points here. First of all, the wireless access points shown by network manager seem(ed) to multiply regularly - with each one being shown three or four times in the list after NM had been running long enough. Does the original reporter also get that? Secondly, I switched from using vpnc to using network-manager-vpnc yesterday evening, and have so far (touch wood) not seen either the disconnects or the duplicate APs in the list.
