Hi Stefan, in fact, I've followed Leann's suggestion to try Intrepid Ibex; and since it worked flawlessly, I upgraded to 8.10. However, if the upcoming 2.6.24-23.x kernel can be installed on Ibex (dependency-wise), I will be glad to try it out, in a week or two.
