Wait folks. I had a look on madwifis ticket system and found this: http://madwifi-project.org/ticket/1903 It seems to be the same problem and they're already on it. I asked the assigned guy if there is any update, but for now it seems using channel 1 should be a workaround. I'll give it a try and get back to you with the results.
