Re 2. uncommenting UseEDID made no difference. The crashes occurred when running Firefox with a film from www.joost.com streaming, 50% crashes just involved Firefox 50% whole OS ~Since I have linked to the streaming files in /tmp I can run them separately from Firefox. This is then run in Totem which also crashes - sometimes crashing the OS I will report this separately Note that the refresh rate (85) is still not picked up from xorg.conf the start rate is 75 on switching to 'auto' in NVIDIA x server the rate changes to 85 - no difference in crash pattern with or without this change - GSR still shows 53! -- gnome-settings-daemon conflict with Nvidia Xserver settings in 8.10 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/300287 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
