Public bug reported: I have a Netgear MA311 on a fresh Kubuntu 8.10 install. I cannot get wireless to work after the installation. The configuration seemed to have worked during the installation process, but not afterwards.
Both hostap and orinoco seem to be loading by default. I've tried adding to /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist: blacklist hermes blacklist orinoco blacklist orinoco_pci blacklist orinoco_cs blacklist orinoco_plx I followed the steps in http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=571188 in order to attempt a connection. I then commented out the orinoco entries and added: blacklist hostap blacklist hostap_cs blacklist hostap_pci Still no wireless.
