Matthew, Can you have a try of this again and see whether it's repeatable? Useful information here would be:
Does it always crash when you select an area of that imported mp3? Does it crash when you select *any* area of that imported mp3, or is it only when selecting a specific area? If it happens every time, can you try "cutting out" a bit of that mp3 (with Jokosher if possible, or maybe with audacity or mp3splt if Jokosher always crashes) and seeing if Jokosher still crashes when selecting a bit of the "cut down" version? If it always happens, it'd be very useful to us to have the mp3 in question for testing, too. Are you running Jokosher 0.1 (installed from the Ubuntu repositories)?
