I found that is a problem with yahoo server. The same is with kopete and Ghyaci, also in SUSE or Fedora. Go to pidgin - Yahoo, Manage acounts, then in tab Advance and in Page server put this- ,,Page server:66.163.181.189" save and restart Pidgin It will conect faster without problems.
