Public bug reported: Binary package hint: ant
Hi, The ant should not have a tight dependency on openjdk-6-jre. If Java is already installed (e.g., Sun's Java Development Kit), there is no reason to install the openjdk-6-jre when ant is installed. Otherwise two Java Virtual Machines will be installed on the same machine, which is redundant in many ways. Please remove the tight dependency. Instead, if no version of Java can be found on the machine, then install OpenJDK. Otherwise, don't. ** Affects: ant (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Ant Dependency on OpenJDK-6-jre https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/303348 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
