Thanks, so you are using the i386 architecture.

> dpkg-divert --list '*camera*' gives nothing.

OK. Was worth a try. :-)

I downloaded the libgphoto2-2 package from this mirror:

$ wget
http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/main/libg/libgphoto2/libgphoto2-2_2.4.2-0ubuntu3_i386.deb
$ dpkg-deb -x libgphoto2-2_2.4.2-0ubuntu3_i386.deb /tmp/x
$ md5sum /tmp/x/usr/lib/libgphoto2/print-camera-list
0ea6ae57c0136f6a86c20e84a34094f6 /tmp/x/usr/lib/libgphoto2/print-camera-list
$ ldd /tmp/x/usr/lib/libgphoto2/print-camera-list | grep ltdl
   libltdl.so.7 => /usr/lib/libltdl.so.7 (0xb7f29000)

No libtdl3.so here, and the checksum is correct, so the package on the
us mirror is fine.

Can you please copy&paste the output of

 md5sum /usr/lib/libgphoto2/print-camera-list

? It should be
 0ea6ae57c0136f6a86c20e84a34094f6 /usr/lib/libgphoto2/print-camera-list

Sorry when I seem to be clueless. I truly am...
