I have done some tests what happens when the printer-internal configuration is wrong. On my HP LaserJet P3005 A4 paper is loaded into the main input tray (Tray 2). In the front panel manues of the printer I have entered that Tray 2 contains Letter paper. Then I have printed the PostScript files attached to the Poppler bug report unfiltered, using the command line
nc -w1 <printer's IP> 9100 < <file> They came all out leaving the last two centimeters of the page blank. One file was shifted to the top and cut, another file was scaled down to fit into the remaining space of the page. So please check the front panel menus of your printer, especially the paper sizes assigned to the trays. They must be set to what is actually loaded into the trays. -- printer prints page at wrong position, page cut https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/293832 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
