Hi, I too have had this bug start to occur only in the last few days since updating to 4.1.3 from the kubuntu packages. When I unplug the USB keyboard and then plug it back in again it will work fine. The problem only surfaces for me when I am using digikam. Additionally since updating to KDE 4.1.3 all of my hot keys no longer work which I will raise in another bug.
