I have a similar problem. My Plextor PX-TV402U video capture device no longer works in Intrepid. I do think I have rebuilt the drivers properly, but video devices are no longer appearing under /dev as expected in Intrepid. MythTV and TVtime are expecting to find this device under /dev/video0. lsusb output: Bus 002 Device 005: ID 093b:a104 Plextor Corp. In case there is a connection to this other issue: In Gutsy and Hardy it was necessary to edit /etc/init.d/mountdevsubfs.sh to allow usb devices to mount at /proc/bus/usb but the same modification of /etc/init.d/mountdevsubfs.sh did not work in Intrepid. So I had to edit my fstab file to mount usbfs and allow this USB video capture device to be seen by the firmware loader. It seems that several changes were made in Intrepid regarding the handling of USB or video USB devices. Please help to resolve this issue!
