Public bug reported: Jaunty Alpha 1 Alternate install on IBM Thinkpad T40 no sound at all. pulseaudio & pavucontrol or Applications Sound & Video Pulse Audio Volume Control get Connection failed: Connection refused Same thing from pulse audio applet on desktop.
I've followed Pulse Audio Fixes http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=789578 up through Appendix A step 5 where the Connection failed occurs. Anything anyone has for me to try or report on?
