Well I can't be certain this is the same problem but I have similar symptoms browsing a large tree of flac files.
The latest crash (running with the -g switch from the CLI to catch the debug output) appears to show it falling over on a shell script in one of my folders : This appears to be repeatable - ie open a new audio project, then navigate to the top level of a tree which contains both music files and some other items (in my case some scripts). Will attempt to capture a stack-trace, but here is the debug output for now : (brasero:9569): BraseroBurn-DEBUG: At brasero-metadata.c:1284: New retrieval for file:///home/steveh/Music/flac/id3_tov2.sh 0x87dba10 (brasero:9569): BraseroBurn-DEBUG: At brasero-metadata.c:963: gstdecodebin.c(1716): type_found (): /GstPipeline:pipeline5/GstDecodeBin:decodebin5: decodebin cannot decode plain text files (brasero:9569): BraseroBurn-DEBUG: At brasero-metadata.c:255: Retrieval ended for file:///home/steveh/Music/flac/id3_tov2.sh 0x87dba10 (brasero:9569): BraseroBurn-DEBUG: At brasero-metadata.c:1438: ERROR getting metadata : This appears to be a text file (brasero:9569): BraseroBurn-DEBUG: At brasero-metadata.c:1284: New retrieval for file:///home/steveh/Music/flac/rmmp3.sh 0x87dba10 (brasero:9569): BraseroBurn-DEBUG: At brasero-metadata.c:963: gstdecodebin.c(1716): type_found (): /GstPipeline:pipeline6/GstDecodeBin:decodebin6: decodebin cannot decode plain text files (brasero:9569): BraseroBurn-DEBUG: At brasero-metadata.c:255: Retrieval ended for file:///home/steveh/Music/flac/rmmp3.sh 0x87dba10 (brasero:9569): BraseroBurn-DEBUG: At brasero-metadata.c:1438: ERROR getting metadata : This appears to be a text file Segmentation fault [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ -- brasero crashes when opening music folder https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/293776 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
