Hi all, i have been able to get around this bug by using the debian package from a debian mirror.
This shows that there is no problem with the debian package or other parts of ubuntu and that the fault is in the zoneminder package in the ubuntu repos. <workaround> i used wget http://mirror.pacific.net.au/pub1/debian/pool/main/z/zoneminder/zoneminder_1.23.3-3_i386.deb then dpkg -i zoneminder_1.23.3-3_i386.deb then following the instructions at http://www.zoneminder.com/wiki/index.php/Main_Documentation#Installation_from_a_.deb i restarted the machine zoneminder is now running. </workaround> -- install failed https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/243934 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
