Same problem here. Running Ubuntu 8.10 Audio seem to work fine only with ALSA, but nothing comes from flash plugin (using adobe-non free, latest version). Downloading the same video with youtube-dl and playing it with totem works perfectly.
I have both an Audigy 2 ZS and an embedded card.
