So, please find and attach: * /var/log/Xorg.0.log * /etc/X11/xorg.conf * ~/.xsession-errors (if you have one. look in your home directory) Could you test with another monitor, and see if the problem remains? Because if it does, the bug is probably in the driver only and the monitor is not involved.
