Public bug reported: Binary package hint: openoffice.org
I had Ubuntu 8.04 and Open Office worked with no problems. I upgraded to 8.1. Now when I start Open Office (all applications) the text in the top line of the menus toolbars appears as straight lines. Also text in drop down boxes does not show. Symbols are OK, text can be typed into work areas but the text in the tool bar area does not show. This problem has been reported at Open Office but the suggested solutions haven't worked for me. I have tried removing Open Office using Synaptic Manager and reinstalling but that didn't work either. I have tried other office suites eg KOffice but the same problem occurs ProblemType: Bug Architecture: i386 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 8.10 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia Package: openoffice.org-core 1:2.4.1-11ubuntu2 ProcEnviron: PATH=/usr/lib/openoffice/program:/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/games LANG=en_AU.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: openoffice.org Uname: Linux 2.6.27-8-generic i686 ** Affects: openoffice.org (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug -- no text is visible in open office menus (all) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/301512 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
